Hertfordshire caravan and motorhome dealer for Adria and Bailey caravans, used caravans, motorhomes, accessories and awnings
Find out moreHitchin Caravans was a caravan and motorhome dealer in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, five minutes from Letchworth. It reopened in 2012 selling new Adria caravans, new Bailey motorhomes, and used caravans and motorhomes to buyers across Hertfordshire, the Home Counties and the London area.
It also had a fully stocked accessory shop with awnings. The website described its two main brands this way: Adria, one of the largest European caravan makers, known for its build quality and for fixed bed, bunk bed and twin bed caravans with four, five or six berths; and Bailey, the largest UK caravan maker, a family-run company and the inventor of the Alu-Tech system.
Hitchin Caravans was part of Venture Caravans, a family-run business that had supplied caravans, motorhomes, servicing and accessories for over 40 years. In 2015 the Hitchin branch took the name Venture Caravans and Motorhomes to match its sister branch in Daventry, keeping the same staff, and this website moved.

The largest parish church in Hertfordshire, built mostly in the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries, stands beside the River Hiz in the town centre.

Hitchin's old British Schools are now a museum, with a monitorial schoolroom of the 1830s built to teach 300 boys at once.

Begun in 1903, Letchworth was the world's first garden city and lies just north-east of Hitchin.
